Abu Dhabi, 30 September 2021: The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) launched yesterday, the Fazza Championships schedule for the season 2021-22, during its participation at ADIHEX 2021.

The announcement was made at HHC’s pavilion in Hall 8, stand 10 D. Many visitors welcomed the announcement of timelines, especially Emirati youth. The Fazza Championships for the upcoming season will have 15 mega events, comprising heritage championships, competitions and qualification matches. 

Rashid Al Khasouni, HHC’s Director of Championships, commented: “We are pleased to announce the upcoming season’s calendar of Fazza Championships to allow enough time for the partakers to prepare. Most of the competitions allow expats and nationals to join, as per their category. Following HHC’s best practices, and with the directions of His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai, we are determined to pave the way to new champions, support the talents of the youth, and manage these events to the utmost best in alignment with UAE’s standards.”

“This season we have the new initiative launched by UAE’s Falcon Federation qualification Falconry Races that will be held in November”, added Al Khasouni.

Fazza Youlah

The season begins with the Youlah qualifications of the Fazza Championship for Youlah – 17th edition of Al Meydan Program. The qualifications will be held from 7-9 October, and the main championship takes place from 3 December 2021 until 4 March 2022, at Al Meydan Fort in Dubai’s Global Village. 

Fazza Falconry

The falconry season begins with UAE Falcons Federation qualifying Telwah races to be held every Friday and Saturday as follows: 5,6, 12,13, 19,20, 26,27 of November 2021.

Sharjah Falconers Club Championship-Telwah, hosts its fifth edition in Meliha, Sharjah, and will be held on 2-5 December 2021. The main Fazza Championship for Falconry (Telwah) will be held in Dubai’s Al Ruwayyah from 28 December 2021 until 16 January 2022. With the support of HHC, the fifth edition of Rashid Bin Humaid Falconry Championship will be held on 23 January 2022, in Ajman. The Fakhr Al Ajyal Championship will mark the end the falconry season and will be held from 30 January – 17 February 2022. 

Camel Races

The camel races events will kick-start with trial races preceding National Day Camel Marathon and the Camel Trek Camel Marathon. First trial races will take place respectively on 12 November, 3 December. The main marathons will take place on 14 January 2022.

Saluki Championship

The Qualifying Saluki Championship races will be held respectively on 27, 28 and 29 of January 2022. The main championship will take place on 19 February 2022. 

Saktoun Rifle Shooting

The Open Fazza Championship for Shooting with Saktoun traditional rifle, will be held from 16-26 February 2022, in HHC’s shooting range in Dubai’s Al Ruwayyah.
