DUBAI, 14 September 2017: On the sidelines of its participation at the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition Abu Dhabi 2017, Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) announced the names of the first three winners of the Design Competition which was launched in July 2017.
HHC launched the first edition of the competition which called for designing HHC’s stand at ADIHEX 2017, in an effort to enhance innovation and to empower students and graduates. Many contestants participated to portray the Center’s messages in an innovative way and to merge old-age heritage with contemporary designs.
“We have had a good number of entries in the inaugural edition of competition. The first three winners who were selected by a special committee were the closest to interpret the Center’s messages. We made it a surprise, this year’s stand at AIDHEX is the actual design of the winner who came in the first place. We thank this young Emirati for translating the Center’s messages through her stand-out design and we hope to see new talents in the future”, said Suad Ibrahim Darwish, Director of Championships at HHC.
The competition was open to male and female participants living in the UAE within the age group of 18-30.
Rawdha Al Rizzi Al Shamsi (UAE national) came in first place, Mohammed Alabdel Hadi (Kuwaiti national) came in the second place and the third place went to Shaimaa Ahmed Al Sharifi (UAE national).
“As an interior designer I based my design concept on HHC’s logo, and tried to design everything around it, using the space to accommodate the visitors based on HHC’s various activities and diverse championships. I am happy that I came in the first place as I tried hard to design a true stand-out model”, said Rawdha Al Rizzi Al Shamsi the winner in the first place.
“As an architect, I must admit that I have the right tools to implement the design in different angles and views. I was inspired by the championships and initiatives of his highness the Crown prince of Dubai. My design was centered by a huge tree with the many initiatives branching out and being connected to an end-user by smaller screens. I was glad that I participated and hope to win first place in the coming editions”, said Mohammed Alabdel Hadi, the winner in the second place.
