Through this noble humanitarian initiative, we seek to assure elderly community members of their valued role in the cohesive fabric of our society, including their imparting of Emirati customs, traditions and an authentic framework of Islamic tolerance.”

Haleimah Abdullah Dhanhani, Beit Al Khair Head of Branches Affairs said: “This celebration aims to spread joy and happiness amongst the hearts of the elderly and their families visiting them on this day. We consider care of the elderly to be a priority category that we are keen to support at the Beit Al Khair Society, and we have a new project called ‘as they raised me up when I was little’, another initiative that appreciates senior citizens. We aspire to partner with organisations such as the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center as part of these wider efforts to support valued members of our society.”

An event visitor Samira Mahmoud also expressed her pleasure at attending the ceremony, getting to know new faces and enjoying the jovial family atmosphere that embraced everyone present.

The Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center is keen on this occasion to provide joy to the elderly through their active participation in recreational activities, and through listening to their memories and wisdom. This initiative aims to provide senior citizens with a positive atmosphere, in order to show appreciation towards the Al Mamzar Community Centre’s generation of parents and grandparents.
